Explore the German Romantic Road daily by Minibus. Departure in Frankfurt am Main/Main train station, Mannheimer Straße 2-4 (Bus Stop of Deutsche Touring/Eurolines). Drive through the “Spessart” to Wertheim and walk around in the medieval city center. The town is also called “little Heidelberg”. Along the Romantic Road to Weikersheim. Short tour in the castle with it`s magnificent “Knight`s Hall” and the Baroque Garden (closed on Mondays) or just walk in the historic city center. Röttingen Wine Village, Germany`s first european town is passed. Rothenburg ob der Rauber is the most romantic town in Germany and one of the highlights of the Romantic Road – a must when travelling in Europe. there are 3 hours time to discover the medieval jewel on your own. Sightseeing highlights: the town wall (2,5 km to walk on it, the German Christmas Museum and Käthe Wohlfarth´s Christmas Village, the Crime and Torture Museum and ST. Jacob`s with an altar carved by tilman riemenschneider. on the way back to frankfurt foto stop in würzburg at the residence (unesco world heritage site since 1981). worth to mention is the baroque court garden with the offical starting and end point of the romantic road and the “hofkirche”, an eleborately decorated church. next to the palace there is a franconian restaurant with a traditional beer garden.

Important advise: tour has to be booked at least 48 hours in advance/2 days before you want to get on the bus, otherwise we can not guarantee that the tour can take place. from may until october there is a public guided day tour on sundays with a non concellation quarentee. there are reservated seats in rothenburg in a traditional franconian restaurant, where regional food and products are served (on self paying basis).
