Visit Bad Lauchstädt Castle and spa facilities. Go to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Walkenried Monastery Ruins, take a small trek to Moorland from the National Park Center, Torfhaus and stop in Ilsenburg and Wernigerode (town hall).

Get beautiful views of the Harz Mountains and its exposed low mountain range surrounded by flatland. See the oldest mining region in Germany. Discover a natural paradise with the Harz National Park and in the center, the 1141 meter high Brocken Peak. Hear legends and myths from prehistoric times to the present from your local guide.

Head to the Walkenried monastery ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Go on a small Moorland hike in Torfhaus, where you will hopefully get a view of Brocken if the weather is good. On an extensive round trip by comfortable van transportation around the Harz summit, get to know the tranquil towns of Ilsenburg and Wernigerode.

Enjoy free time during the day and taste local delicacies and specialties along the way. Make your way back to Leipzig after a lovely day.
