Begin your day with a departure from a location near London Bridge tube station at 9 AM (make sure you have a hearty breakfast before you leave as you will be tasting a fair quantity of wine on the day). The coach or van will travel out of London and your English wine-tour guide will begin to tell you about the day. Learn about the history of English wine and all about who the industry movers and shakers are. The journey will go through some very scenic landscapes and quintessentially English villages, so have your camera ready.
Upon arrival at the first vineyard, you will have time to stretch your legs, enjoy the view, and prepare for your first wine tasting of the day. After you have cleansed your palette with some English sparkling fizz, your tour will continue to the second vineyard. Once there, savor a guided tasting, then have the chance to make purchases in the wine shop.
At 1 PM, the tour continues to a gastro-English pub for a lunch including English wine. Meals are all English fayre and will have at least one vegetarian option. All meals are seasonal and always changing, but they are freshly prepared and typically consist of traditional English plates such as fish and chips, bangers and mash, a British burger, or steak and ale pie.
After lunch, make your way to the third vineyard of the day where you will learn about the history of the wine estate. Join the group for a guided tasting, having time to enjoy the atmosphere with friends. Time will also be allocated to explore the wine shop and make purchases. Lastly, the tour will depart around 4:30 PM and return to London Bridge for an estimated arrival time of 6 PM. You will be returned to the same collection point where you were picked up.
