Choose the 6-hour option to discover the highlights of Lübeck, which is less than an hour away from Hamburg. For your convenience, round-trip train tickets are included so you can easily join a Local Guide at the Lübeck’s train station for a walking tour of this historic city. The first major highlight will be the Holsten Gate (Holstentor Museum), a unique Brick Gothic construction of the city’s medieval fortification that houses Lübeck’s history museum. Inside you will find antique ship models, suits of armor, weapons and other artifacts related to commerce, power, and wealth.
Walking through the narrow medieval streets of Lübeck’s Old Town, you will quickly get a feeling as if you’re lost in time. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of the Market Square and admire the medieval bricks and towers of St Peter’s Church, St Catherine’s Church and St Jacob Church. Your Private Guide will escort you back to the train station for your return trip to Hamburg. 7-Hour Option: Upon arrival in Hamburg, a private car will take you back to your accommodation.
Check your email the day before the tour for important information. All guests must provide their full name and date of birth when booking. You’ll find the exact departure time and other travel details on the train ticket sent via email. We recommend arriving at the Hamburg Central Station at least 15 minutes in advance. The tour may be canceled if you miss your train. A Local Guide will meet you at the Lübeck Central Station. The 7-hour option includes an estimated 1-hour round-trip transfer between your accommodation and Hamburg Central Station. Transfer time will vary depending on the distance and traffic. We will arrange a standard car (sedan) for 1-4 people, or a larger van or minibus for groups of 5 people and more. You can book a 5-people tour for a larger vehicle. Church tours during masses and special events are limited, therefore the guide may provide all information outside. Lunch can be arranged upon request.
