Enjoy a great panorama of the whole city of Lyon and discover the park's areas, such as the Loyasse cemetery, the Visitation garden, and the Rosaire garden.Close to the Parc des Hauteurs, the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière is an impressive mix of Romanesque and Byzantine architecture. There, see a bell tower topped with a gilded statue of the Virgin Mary, and marvel at the interior of mosaics and magnificent stained glass.Next, visit the Maison du Chamarrier, the area's first Renaissance building when it was built in 1498. Admire the unique entrance canopy's pinnacle turret, similar to those of Gothic churches, and the large, ornamented, and Gothic spiral staircase.Explore the Lyon Cathedral or the Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste, a Roman Catholic church that has been standing since the 15th century.
