Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Make Trip, we’re committed to offering flexible and fair solutions for travelers while also respecting the commitments made to our partners. Please review our detailed refund and cancellation terms before booking.


1. Cancellation by the Traveler

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to [support@maketrip.com] or through your account dashboard.

Note: Service fees and certain non-refundable components (see section 5) are not included in the refund.


2. Cancellation by Make Trip

If Make Trip cancels a tour due to weather conditions, political unrest, low bookings, or other unavoidable reasons, we will offer:

  • A full refund, OR

  • A credit voucher for future use, valid for 12 months, OR

  • An option to reschedule at no extra cost (subject to availability)


3. Partial Cancellations & Custom Packages

If your booking includes multiple components (e.g., flights, hotels, excursions), cancellation may be subject to partial refunds depending on:

  • Supplier policies

  • Cancellation timing

  • Non-refundable items (e.g., attraction tickets, permits)

We will outline all cancellation terms clearly at the time of booking for custom packages.


4. Non-Refundable Components

The following items are typically non-refundable:

  • Visa and passport services

  • Attraction tickets with fixed dates (e.g., amusement parks, concerts)

  • Travel insurance

  • Special event packages

  • Promotional discounts or offers


5. Modifications to Bookings
  • Change of date/traveler name: Allowed up to 7 days before departure, subject to availability and supplier fees.

  • Destination changes: Considered case-by-case; price differences may apply.

Administrative fees may apply to modifications.


6. Refund Processing
  • Refunds are processed within 10–14 business days after approval.

  • Refunds will be returned via the original method of payment.

  • Processing time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.


7. No-Shows & Late Arrivals

If you fail to appear for your trip or activity without prior notice, it will be treated as a no-show, and no refund will be granted.

Late arrivals may result in missed activities without compensation.


8. Third-Party Suppliers

Some services booked through Make Trip (e.g., airline tickets, hotel stays, tours operated by third parties) are subject to the cancellation and refund policies of those providers. We will notify you of these terms before you confirm your booking.


9. Travel Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself against unexpected events such as trip cancellations, delays, or medical emergencies.
